REALITY CLUB RILIS ‘SUNNY DAYS’, PERPADUAN LAGU POP DAN RAP YANG MENGHIBUR

Setelah meluncurkan album Reality Club Presents, band indie rock Reality Club mempersembahkan single “Sunny Days” bagi siapa pun yang ingin menghibur orang kesayangan!

FROYONION.COM - Masih ada satu kejutan lagi dari grup musik Reality Club setelah melepas album Reality Club Presents yang berhasil menyabet dua piala AMI Awards. Inilah single terbaru bertajuk “Sunny Days”!

Single yang resmi dirilis pada 26 Juli 2024 ini menjadi lagu bergenre paling pop yang pernah mereka ciptakan bersama Wisnu Ikhsantama Wicaksana, selaku produser dan Dominion Records sebagai label musik.

Beranggotakan Fathia Izzati (vokal, kibor), Faiz Novascotia Saripudin (vokal, gitar), Nugi Wicaksono (bas, vokal), dan Era Patigo (drum). Single ini mengisahkan tentang menghibur seseorang yang sedang sedih saat melihat orang-orang lain bahagia dan sukses.

“Intinya, lagu ini ingin kita tetap optimis. Bahwa setelah badai pasti ada pelangi. Dan saat kita bersama, melewati suka dan duka, kebahagiaan itu akan terasa lebih indah. Jadi, jangan pernah ragu untuk saling mendukung satu sama lain,” timpalnya.

BUKTI REALITY CLUB BERANI KELUAR DARI ZONA NYAMAN

Tak banyak yang tahu jika “Sunny Days” sempat tidak jadi dirilis karena eksplorasi besar-besaran oleh Reality Club di luar indie rock yang menjadi genre andalan pada album sebelumnya, yaitu Never Get Better (2017) dan What Do You Really Know?.

Lantas, “Sunny Days” pun tidak lolos seleksi. Padahal lagu itu diciptakan atas inspirasi yang datang dari para musisi beraliran pop, seperti Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, dan SZA.

Ketidaklolosan ini muncul karena realita yang jauh dari ekspektasi mereka.

“Meskipun ini adalah jenis lagu yang sedang populer saat kami membuatnya, kami merasa kurang yakin dengan lagu ini. Karena itu, kami memutuskan untuk tidak memasukkannya ke dalam album Reality Club Presents... dan memilih 10 lagu lainnya yang lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik kami,” kata Fathia.

Setelah menimbang kurang lebih tiga tahun lamanya, “Sunny Days” berhasil menarik perhatian dan menghibur penonton pada panggung utama festival musik We The Fest pada pertengahan Juli lalu.

Menariknya, single ini menggabungkan genre musik pop dan rap yang terdapat pada lirik yang dinyanyikan secara khusus oleh Faiz selaku vokalis dan gitaris.

"Saat proses persiapan untuk We The Fest, kami bereksperimen dengan lagu ini dan hasilnya sangat memuaskan," ujar Era. Nugi menambahkan, "Kami akan terus mengasah kemampuan kami untuk memberikan penampilan terbaik di atas panggung.”

Selain bergerak cepat menuju album keempat dalam menutup era Reality Club Presents…, single itu juga dirilis bertepatan pada suasana musim panas yang sangat cocok untuk menggambarkan isi lagu.

Para penggemar Reality Club yang lazim disebut Goddess Rockstar dapat menikmati “Sunny Days” melalui platform musik andalan dan termasuk di berbagai perhelatan tur Reality Club pada bulan Oktober dan November mendatang.
